Computers and anti-virus software

Many of us have computers or laptops that we use for business and entertainment. We install strong anti-virus software to curb viruses entering into our computer. If anti-virus is not installed, any sort of virus can attack our computer and will collapse our operating system. We may have to lose data and our precious works. How preciously we are protecting our computer from external evils so that we can work without any interruption.

I just want to compare this with our life. Our life is like a computer and Jesus is our anti-virus software. He will protect us from all sorts of viruses i.e. evil, wickedness, sin etc. As we scan our computer for any infected files so as to fix it, we also need to scan our heart, mind and soul with the word of God. In Psalms 139:23, 24….the Psalmist says “Search me, o God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. In Jer 17: verse 9 says ‘The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure Who can understand it?

When we scan our life with the word, surely we can avoid from folly, compromising the world and from sin. Jesus is our anti-virus software who will give us a pure conscience, who will protect us from falling and who will bless us to lead a Holy life

“I will wait for my renewal to come”

“I will wait for my renewal to come” Yea, it was the words which Job spoke in Bible (Job 14:14)….when he was going through severe pain, torment, anguish in which words cannot express how much trouble he went through…..He was not understood by his own wife and friends. Job was left alone with no one to comfort. How much it would be frustrating and dismaying situation in his life?

The word “wait” is sometimes very difficult to accept especially when we expect an immediate deliverance or blessing. But sometimes we face situation where we need to wait patiently unto Jesus. While waiting Satan can bring the following attitude and feeling …….

Negative ness
Anger towards God
Stress

The first one “Negative thoughts” will bring fear which leads to bondage…….the second one “Anger towards God will lead to separation of our loving relationship with Jesus which can be a major cause for missing God’s blessing and will. The third one “Stress” if not treated will end in depression. Depression is the number one cause for suicide. Bondage, separation and depression are not the plans of God in your life.

We must not allow the above tools of destruction into our lives. Let us guard our life into Jesus Christ. Like Job, let us wait for our renewal to come which will fetch us “Double blessing” and on that day….there will be shouts of praise and joy in your life…..Amen

My cat named "Jala"

I had a pussy cat named “Jala”. I use to show her lots of love and I cared for her so much, gave food for her………but though I showed kindness and love, my cat use to go to my neighbors house and use to be there for a long time. One day it really hurt me when I was searching for her and found her sleeping very quietly in my neighbor’s house. I felt very sad in my heart and thought why my cat is not able to be with me even though I showed bags of love and affection towards her?

The same incident I could relate with Jesus. How sad JESUS will feel when we go out of His loving hands…….when we stray with our worldly ways. How big are the love, care and affection of Jesus towards us? How much His Hand is protecting us? We often fail to realize His Eternal love towards us………the love on the cross of Calvary which gave us hope, joy, peace and above all the greatest gift “Salvation”. Shall we take a decision today not to grieve our Eternal Father? Shall we also give Jesus the love in the same way He shows to us?

The deepest part...........

“The deepest part of me is where I hide my dreams
The deepest part of me is given into HIS hands
And I know that you’re always beyond that I dream
You live inside the deepest part me”

Above is the chorus of a song which has touched me sometime back. I realized how valuable the “deepest part of me” where aspirations, dreams and passion rise up which sometimes can lead to a wrong turn In life if the above package is not in accordance with God’s will.

It is good that we may give our “deepest part” to Jesus Hands so that He can design our lives. Yea, but it is not going to be easy as human tendency is to trust his/her might. It takes believing the unchanging God and taking the word into your life. In Proverbs Chapter 3 verse 5 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”

What will happen if you lean on your own understanding? You will face only frustration and failure. Remember friend, for God’s thoughts are not your thoughts and your ways are not His ways. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts (Is 55:8, 9)

Just give your deepest thoughts, failures, hurts, frustration into Jesus Hands and you will see the Maker’s hands designing you for a blessed purpose. His higher thoughts and ways on you will fill your life with joy and happiness- if you submit to Jesus completely the ‘inmost being or deepest part’………………

You are diamond that shines in HIS Hands........

“Diamond” has to undergo a deep sharpening and once it is mended, sharpened and designed, it will be in full shape and shining with beauty.

Dear friend, are you feeling that God’s hand is sharpening your life? Are you undergoing the pruning and chipping process of the God Almighty?

Yea, it is painful indeed but thank God that He sharpens and prunes you for a special purpose to be used in HIS perfect Hands……..He has not chosen X and Y but YOU…

It could be a deep fall in your spiritual life….it could be a long waiting period for a blessing…it could be a humble situation that God has allowed in your life…In always remember that Jesus needs you and He is beside you. He will lift you up if you allow yourself for the pruning process. He will remove all the unnecessary burden, hurts, guilt that you are carrying……Psalm 9:18 says “But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish”.

Jesus is so thoughtful of your needs, concerns, burden, passion, aspirations and future…One thing you have to do my friend, you have to turn to HIM in whatever situation that you have kept in. Don’t go depressed or keep your heart stubborn for it will increase your sorrow. Come to HIS unfolding hands of love for joy, peace and love will become yours.

The three greatest tools that Satan can work against us to make us shrink in our spiritual walk with our Lord comes the following

Doubt
Underestimating God’s power
Fear

Dear reader, do you doubt God that He cannot accomplish plans for you?
Do you under estimate God that He has not power to change the situation?
Are you afraid or has got constant fear that things will get worsened?

Trust God…..for He has thoughts of peace and not evil to give you an expected end (Jer29:11)

Don’t take situation in your hands to change it….for it will harm you but instead give it to God’s hands and wait for His timing for patient waiters will not be disappointed.

Prevent fear because it brings bondage and no good work can be done and it ultimately leads to missing of God’s blessings in our life. For the Lord takes pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy.

Dear Reader,

Will you make a small prayer that Jabez made in 1 Chronicles 4:10 and in which God granted his request. Will you also trust that God is going to grant you the same request which you are going to make now for you to be blessed? Start praying like Jabez who cried to the Lord of Israel…..Oh that you would bless me
and enlarge my territory!

Will a mother forget her child she has borne?

Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Psalms: 27:10

Will earthly father and mother forsake their children? Will a mother throw her child away? How can parents neglect their own children? Is it the question that is arising in your mind?

Dear reader, in this world we see mother throwing her child into the dustbin, killing girl children through various methods, giving poison to her innocent child and killing herself etc and the story continues………….

In the Bible, in the book of Isaiah chapter 49 in verse 15- God says to us “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

Yea, earthly parents may forsake and leave us but there is a God who is so thoughtful of us. Don’t worry if you are deprived of getting your parents love. Don’t worry if you feel that you are orphaned…..Jesus is your father and mother and He will fill your heart with love in which the world cannot give you. He will receive you as you are….Just go to Jesus and say one small prayer, Lord Jesus I accept you as my father and mother and I invite you to dwell in my heart, mind and soul. Amen

Act immediately; please do not delay…..

Friend, let your eyes and ears be receptive to the needs of the people around you. When God gives you a chance or an opportunity to help a needy person, don’t hesitate to stretch your hand to reach them either through your physical presence or by your finances.

The effects of Sudan famine…..

Can you see the aching child whose life is at risk?

How many of us murmur against God even though he has blessed us with a decent living? Please look at the child whose life is at risk because of the devastating famine. God has blessed us with abundant food that we hesitate to share it with the needy and wanting…In our life often times we fail to notice people who are struggling to run their life.

When Jesus was in the world, he had compassion on the people who were suffering. Jesus shed tears at the instance when Lazarus was buried in the tomb…..Have we got the same compassion on people who are suffering around us physically, mentally, socially and economically?

Are we able to sympathize and empathize for people who are battered and shattered in life? How far we have cultivated this virtue or are we living for own selfish ambition alone?

Testimony of my first elder brother JOEL…….

Inbuilt talents were hidden inside my brother….that is what I would say. I would like to write a testimony of my brother Joel who is working in Kuwait.

School days were not so pleasant for my brother because he use to fail in almost all the subjects. Nobody in our family thought that he will pass standard 10th. Yea, but it was God’s miracle and grace that he made it. Standard 11th and 12 was not so fine for my brother. He started cutting class and started watching movies…..hanging around with friends. This caused a severe setback in his life. He started to face defeats and failures in his life especially in pursuing his higher studies.

Though my brother was going in his own ways…..God was carefully planning him to return to the path of righteousness. Bro. Robinson, an evangelist (Christ is my life ministry) who is working among the youth use to visit our house frequently. The words from the Bible through Bro. Robinson played a vital role in his life. Many times I have observed my brother, though he was struggling in his own ways, yet he had a heart to obey my parents, very loving child in the family, with patience as a virtue……..After his post graduation, he joined in a small private company in Nagercoil for a meager salary. Often times he was down that he is not able to excel when compared to his friends.

“Christ is my life ministry” gave an impetus for him to involve in ministry. Gradually, he started engaging to God’s ways and will, confessing his sins and leaving worldly ways and friendship. It was a time where my parents were searching a girl for him. Since his earning capacity was low, we had a fear that how he will run his family. God in due time blessed him with a loving and God fearing wife. My sister-in-law was working in Kuwait and she made all arrangements to take my brother to Kuwait. When he went there, he struggled to find a job and for more than five months he was unemployed.

In the meantime God blessed them with a lovely kid named Joshua Giftson. After much prayer, God blessed my brother with a good job in one of the biggest companies in Kuwait. Presently, as family they are living for the glory of God in that remote and gentile land stating “Christ is my life”. I would like to praise and thank God for saving my brother and blessing him spiritually, materially, personally and socially. Thanks to Bro. Robinson who contributed a lot to grow spiritually and leading us in God’s ways whenever we were lagging behind……

Hey, i am into Social work...

Oh, I am loosing interest in this field! Is there another field where I can do my post graduation? Yea, such questions were rolling in my mind at the second year of my under graduation (Commerce). I was loosing interest in the accounts field and I wanted to switch on to another field. I heard about new fields like population studies, journalism and archeology. My only option left was to choose M.com or MBA….but I was not so sure about MBA. “What I am going to do after completing M.com” as I was not interested in Accounts, I asked to myself.

God gave an opportunity to attend a State Students leadership camp at Madurai in the year 2000 through EU. In the second day of the camp, I met my senior and enquired about her job and education. It turned to joy when I heard from her that she has done her Master’s degree in Social work and working in an Organization in Madurai. Yea, it was the first time that I heard about a course called “Social work”. That night I went to a solitary place and started praying with these words- Oh Lord, a deep desire has sprung up in my heart to pursue this social work. If it is your will means, will you help me”? I had in mind about two challenges to face. One is finance and another was convincing my father to allow me to go out to study as Social work was not in any colleges in kanyakumari district. In my Bible on 16.10.2K, I wrote the following words signing on the paper that I have stuck in the Bible and started praying:

Dear Lord,
If it is your will, help me to obtain an admission in MSW….

God worked through my mother and maternal uncle to convince my father and God provided all finances to meet all the expenses related to my studies. God was amazingly opening the ways for me…..In selecting the college, I wanted to study in Bishop Heber, since it’s a Christian college but God didn’t allow but instead gave me a Hindu Institution. Yea, I praise God for I could lead many to Christ through prayer cell and individually in that Hindu Institution. God blessed my years in Madurai and with much humility I am expressing that my fellow students and professors acknowledged me to be a different person from others that brought glory to Jesus.

Dear Reader,
Submitting to God’s will bring a greater blessing for His path is full of righteousness and peace and there is no death. Let everything be done as per God’s will in your life.

Miraculous healing of my mother from heart problem

I was just studying 7th standard at school when my mother was diagnosed having a heart problem, a block. My heart use to cry in pain when I see my mother suffering sometimes to breathe properly. She was under medication and with one particular tablet; she had to take it daily and failing which will cause her severe problem to breathe. At school I use to think about my mother and always had a fear that my mother will die soon. Whenever I think that my mother’s life is short, I had to go through deep sorrow and brokenness. My only comfort was Jesus Christ…..and I will ask God “Will my mother die soon Lord” Such was the condition of my mother….. At work place, when my mother was about to get a promotion, one anti-social element wrote an anonymous letter in which he stated that my mother has got heart problem and within a year she will die. This created a deep scar in the minds of me and my brothers. We all were praying earnestly for our mother and in one of the conventions that took place in our church in the year 1994 in the month of May, Bro. Mohan C Lazarus particularly prayed for those that are affected with heart problem. At that moment i cried and prayed to heal my mother from the heart problem The year 1994, the month of July was an unforgettable month for all our family members. My mother was admitted in the hospital for more than 15 days. She literally went near the mouth of death. It was a time where I and my brothers had to go through a hard time to cope with the family urgent situation. The doctor seeing the critical condition of my mother referred to take her to Sri Chitra Heart Hospital in Trivandrum. My uncle came to my house and he arranged vehicle to take my mother to Trivandrum. As a small child I was observing everything that was going around with much pain. My father and my second brother Samuel accompanied my mother. From Nagercoil to Trivandrum, the running time is 2 hours and mother was vomiting throughout the journey and the pain she went through cannot be expressed. When she was admitted in Sri Chitra Heart Hospital, a team of doctors undertook a thorough checkup and found no block in her heart. Yea, the test turned positive. Praise the Lord…..God healed my mother’s heart block. She lives without any medicines till date. Unfortunately the doctor who treated my mother died at an early age of Cardiac arrest after going for a ride in the giant wheel in Chennai in an amusement park. “The one who treated my mother in no more but the one who was about to die is living”.
Dear reader, God is close to the broken hearted and surely will hear your agony. Are you going through such a situation in your life? Just go to Jesus and you will see His miracle today.
